Suddenly the Lower Elements Police is hot on Artemis’ trail trying to regain control over the book as well as save Holly.
Review
This graphic novel is an adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s very popular Artemis Fowl series. A collaboration between Eoin Colfer and Andrew Donkin, the novel oversimplifies Artemis’ character, his machinations, and his issues with morality. Nevertheless, it does a good job with the basic plotlines of the original story. The authors though did an excellent job giving background information of the characters through top secret files. The illustrations also add to the novel, the angular and geometric inspirations give the fairies a more fantastic depiction. Overall, the graphic novel is not as interesting as the actual book, but it does give the readers an idea of the main parts of the book.
